Info for Entry Forms

Thank you for your interest in the Dancing Competitions. More detail on the specific competition is available on the Info button next to each category.

Entries close on the 1st July 2024. No late entries can be accepted after this date for any reason. Once the entries have closed a random draw, overseen by the RSOBHD, will be carried out and your competitor number will then be issued. Thank you again for entering and we look forward to seeing you in August.

• When completing the form The customer details on the first page should be those of the cardholder.
• The dancer's name, date of birth, age and RSOBHD number should be entered on the second page of the entry form where they are asked for.
• The Scottish Open, Scottish National and World Highland Dancing Championships are open to any R.S.O.B.H.D. registered premier dancer.
• Non Premier dancers can enter events 8 & 9 and A & B in the Scottish Championships and Scottish National Championships but they must move to Premier, and we must receive their Premier Number by the 31st July at the latest to be able to compete.
• Please note only entries with a UK address will have their competitor number posted. Any Overseas dancer who does not have access to a UK address can collect their competitor number/s in person from the Cowal Gathering office the week of the Gathering.
• Please enter a shipping address only if the competitor number is to be sent to an address different to the home address.
• Please complete a different form for each dancer. Do not try and enter multiple dancers on one form.
• Please ensure the Name on the form is the dancer's name.

Scottish Championships and World Championships.

• Dancers aged 8 to 15 enter the relevant age category in the Scottish Championships. The top 4 dancers in events 12 and 13 and the top 6 dancers in events 14 and 15 qualify from the Scottish championships to the finals of the Juvenile World Championships on the Saturday.
• Dancers aged 16 and 17 enter event 55 which is the qualifiers for the Junior World Championships.
• Dancers aged 18 and over enter event 56 which is the qualifiers for the Adult World Championships.
• The top 20 dancers in event 55 and 56 qualify to the World Finals which are on the Saturday.
